Marriott Worldwide Reservations
One of the hotel giant’s international call centers, Marriott partnered with Commuter Club to help address employee recruitment and retention. The partnership resulted in an expansion of CCT’s bus service hours to better meet the call center’s needs, as well as discounted transit passes and creative incentive programs. Marriott’s turnover decreased 87% — a savings of $200,000.
BlueLinx (formerly Georgia-Pacific’s Distribution Division Headquarters)
Originally in search of solutions to its parking crisis, BlueLinx approached Commuter Club for assistance. A joint financial partnership between the organizations resulted in discounted transit passes and vanpool seats. Employees were also placed into carpools at no cost. The partnership reduced demand for 130 parking spaces saving the company $100,000 a year in deferred parking expansions.
Worldspan World Headquarters
A leader in global distribution and e-commerce for the travel industry,Worldspan implemented a vanpool program for employees with Commuter Club’s help. Worldspan assumed the cost of the vanpool’s monthly lease, asking riders to pay only for gas. This award-winning program has since transitioned to other arrangements but resulted in one of the largest commuter vanpool fleets in the Atlanta region.
Home Depot Store Support Center (HQ)
The Home Depot Store Support Center is one of the region’s largest employers. To accommodate their population growth, Home Depot partners with Commuter Club to offer vanpools, carpools, transit, Guaranteed Ride Home and other beneficial commuter services.
Cousins Properties, Wildwood Office Park
The Wildwood Office Park is home to over 100 tenant/customers and employs more than 6,000 people. Cousins began working with Commuter Club to address parking demands, congestion, and accessibility needs. In the mid 1990’, a master plan to support transportation alternatives was implemented, including a sidewalk system, intersection improvements, bike racks and more. The partnership has successfully resulted in several tenant/customers involved in Commuter Club’s programs. It has also resulted in an increase in ridesharing.
Cobb Chamber of Commerce
The Cobb Chamber of Commerce is concerned both with the effects of traffic congestion and air pollution on economic development as well as with maximizing staff retention by improving employees' quality of life. With the help of Commuter Club, the Cobb Chamber has implemented flex-time, compressed work week, and teleworking arrangements.
Sprint
Sprint joined forces with Commuter Club in order to address parking management needs. Sprint established a rideshare program, "Commute Solutions" with help from property managers Pope & Land and CarrAmerica. The comprehensive effort includes discounted transit passes, carpool and vanpool matches, free taxi rides in cases of emergencies or unscheduled overtime and $25 gas cards for all carpool groups every month.
Childress Klein Properties
Childress Klein Properties owns and manages the Galleria, one of the region’s preeminent office complexes. Childress Klein understands that traffic and mobility influence the value of their property. Through its partnership with Commuter Club, Childress Klein continues to add value to its property and tenant leases and assist with the Galleria and community’s growth needs.
Young Goldstein Architects
A small architectural firm with fewer than 10 employees, YGAI realizes that retaining qualified employees is crucial to maintaining business productivity. With several employees already carpooling, YGAI called on Commuter Club to aid them in offering incentive programs to encourage more participants. The programs have proven to be a great success with one-half of employees using carpool, MARTA, CCT, or telework options.
EPI-USE
A consulting firm providing technology solutions, EPI-USE developed a telework program to enhance employee morale and condense facility needs. More than 50% of the 48 employees telework two to three days a week while another 40% participate in Compressed Work Weeks (working 40 hours over four days with Fridays off). EPI-USE reports that their efforts have successfully increased the trust-relationship between staff and management.
