Vanpool and save. Big.
The daily commute is hard on the nerves, and a big drain on your wallet. According to the AAA1, the true costs for a 30-mile commute are about $650 a month!
These people love their
commute. You can too!
The better way? A vanpool. Similar to a carpool, a vanpool allows seven to 15 people share a relaxing ride to work in a van. And thanks to discounts through Commuter Club, the vanpool cost per rider is a flat $50 a month.
Try it. You’ll like it.
There’s no long-term commitment. You can start month-to-month — or even try it for two days for free to see if you like it. But you should know with savings like these and our Guaranteed Ride Home program, most people like their vanpool so much they ride an average of four years. And it’s easy to get started:
Join an existing vanpool ... or start a new one!
- Use the map to find a vanpool near you, or see the complete list of all vanpools that serve the Cumberland Galleria area.
- Try a vanpool free for two days with no commitment. Simply contact the primary driver of a vanpool that’s near you and fits your schedule. To start a new group, please contact Commuter Club for assistance.
- Register to receive a list of people who live and work near you and are looking for carpool and vanpool partners.
- Get a list of free Park & Ride lots where riders can meet.
- Start a new vanpool at your workplace with a group of at least seven and up to 15 friends or coworkers. Discuss the route, pick-up points, work hours and who will drive. Commuter Club will gladly help with this and more.
- Already on a vanpool? Learn more about the policies and procedures for the vanpool program in the Commuter Club Vanpool Handbook. You can also find a hardcopy of the handbook in each vanpool.
-
As an employee, you can encourage your company to help defer your cost. Commuter Club can assist by discussing vanpools and tax-deductibility with management.
